Computer security is the science of protecting computer systems against attacks from outside sources, and network security is a subset of this. This is the art of preventing hostile parties from accessing information, altering information, or performing unwanted actions on computers. The most obvious form of network security is firewalls, which are network devices that control who can get in and out of a network.
